How To Make A Confetti-Filled Cone

Transcript
[ Vignettes Index ]

Materials You Will Need:
thin, satin ribbon
decorative paper
small silk flowers
wedding-theme confetti
pencil
glue-stick

Step 1

Utilizing the base of a cylindrical object such as a bowl or paper plate, trace a circle on the decorative paper. From a paper plate, we cut a circle 6 1/2 inches wide in diameter.

Step 2

Carefully cut out the circle. Fold the edges of the circle so that they meet in the middle. As you meet the edges, try to make the bottom of the cone narrow. Glue to secure.

Step 3

Fold the open base of the cone once and glue securely to prevent the confetti from falling out.

Step 4

Cut a small piece of thin, satin ribbon from its spool. Make a small shoelace tie and glue the tie to the top of the cone where the edges meet.

Step 5

As an accent, take a small silk flower and glue it on top of the shoelace tie.

Step 6

And there you have it! Fill the cone with a generous load of confetti. We chose wedding bell-shaped confetti to fill our paper cone. You can use other types of confetti or rose petals or scented potpourri to fill your cone.
