Photo Bookmarks
Submitted by: C. L. of Lake Charles, Louisiana
How about photo bookmarks!! We had taken our pictures at the movies and they came out really cute so we went to a film processor and had him make negatives. Then we printed out enough for favors he cut them and punched holes for ribbons. We signed our names and wedding date and handed them out at the reception.

Origami
Submitted by: L. J. of Houston, Texas
I attended the wedding of friends in California. The bride is Japanese. She and her attendants very painstakingly folded small origami swans to decorate the table at the reception to be taken by the guests as they departed. The wedding was mid-November. The couple handed out shiny balls with their names and the wedding date to be used by the guests for Christmas tree ornaments.

Champagne Glasses
Submitted by: Bliss!™
At our wedding, I gave away small, plastic champagne glasses filled with white chocolate-covered almonds. The package was wrapped in white tulle and tied with a satin ribbon. On white paper, I repeatedly typed out our names and our wedding date using my home computer. I cut out the pieces and made a hole big enough to thread the ribbon through.

Potpourri-filled Fans
Submitted by: Bliss!™
My husband's aunt made beautiful spade-shaped fans with a sheer-net pouch filled with wonderfully-scented potpourri. Imagine the smell in the ballroom as guests fanned themselves after a turn on the dance floor!

Birdseed wrapped in Netting
Submitted by: Pamela of Rochester, Indiana
A great wedding favor is to buy some fabric netting and place birdseed in the center of the netting. Then, bring the corners together and tie it with a color ribbon that corresponds with the colors of your wedding. It is very inexpensive and the guests will like it.

Potted Violets
Submitted by: KSB of Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada
At my best friend's wedding a few years ago, she had potted violets in her wedding colour as a table centerpiece. At the end of the night, the guests took a centerpiece home.

Angels
Submitted by: KSB of Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada
For my own wedding next year, I am going to have an angel theme. I purchased a large quantity of small angel-decorated favour boxes which I am going to fill with homemade angel-shaped chocolates which my mom and I will make. I will, also, include an "angel on my shoulder" pin, which I purchased inexpensively in large quantities at my local dollar store.

Seed Packets
Submitted by: Carrie of Ackley, Indiana
My fiancé and I chose a wedding favor that is very unique. Our wedding is an outdoor wedding that is filled with lots flower and love. So, we chose to create seed packets out of little coin envelopes. Then, we bought some wildflower seeds at a local home improvement center. We wrote a little poem which would let each of our guests know that this wedding favor serves as a permanent reminder of our special day. We had the poem printed on the envelope . The seed packets were placed on each table and inside of each napkin. Also, for those who spent time helping with the wedding, we let them choose one of the picket fence baskets that were used as a table centerpiece. Lots of great ideas - ENJOY!

Wine Goblets
Submitted by: Sarah of Melbourne, Australia
We are having a medieval theme for our wedding, so we plan to buy ordinary wine glasses and spray paint them gold so they resemble goblets.

Decorated Tea Cups
Submitted by: Anonymous
I am getting married in August in Nova Scotia, Canada and our centerpieces are going to consist of a tea cup and saucer with dried flowers in the middle and a color ribbon around the tea cup. They are GORGEOUS!!!!

Mini Wine Bottles
Submitted by: A Bliss! Reader in Alberta, Canada
We've decided to purchase miniature wine bottles for our guests. We'll remove the labels, make our own new labels on the computer, and then decorate each bottle in our colours. We've shopped around and were able to purchase the bottles for around $2.00 per bottle. The labels and decorating will be minimal. The toughest part will be removing all those bottle labels!

Mini Wine Bottles
Submitted by: Diane of Hightstown
What my fiance and I decided to give out as party favors at our March wedding were champain glasses that had our first names engraved in them along with the date of our wedding. We had a small wedding (50 people) so it was an inexpensive way to have everyone remember our blissful day. There are two ways to do this favor: you can order it through a favor catalog or you can buy glasses at dollar stores found throughout the country and by using craft etching paint, you can make them yourself.

Handmade Candy Wrappers
Submitted by: Pamela of Evansville, Indiana
I've been getting ads for all different sorts of wedding favors. I like bells and bubbles but what really caught my eye were the Hershey™ candy bar wrappers. They're really expensive if you order them direct from the dealer. So I decided to make my own candy wrappers. I used Adobe® Photoshop and made an image 5 inches wide, and 7.75 inches long. Buy your own candy bars in bulk, print out the wrappers, and attach a homemade wrapper to each bar.

Handmade Candy Jackets
Submitted by: Tara of Phoenix, Arizona
For my friend's wedding, she made candy bar "jackets" and bought Nestle® Crunch candy bars and wrapped each bar with these jackets. The jackets were pieces of paper with the background of her invitation and engagement picture (which she scanned into a computer) on it. On the front of each jacket, she displayed her's and her groom's name as well as their wedding date and a poem on the back. It was a great wedding favor and very inexpensive.

Box of Almonds
Submitted by: Donna of Westfield, New Jersey
My husband John and I were married in May 1998. Since I love making crafts I decided to make all of the wedding favors for my guests. I ordered white and mint green colored almonds, small square boxes, silk flowers, and tulle and mint colored ribbon (to match the bridesmaid dresses). The ribbon displayed my name and John's name and the date we were married. Very simple: add almonds in tulle, place in box, hot glue silk flower to the top of the box and add ribbon. I placed each wedding favor at the guests' seat and they loved them.

Crystal Candlesticks
Submitted by: Cara of Cleveland, Ohio
We are using crystal candlesticks (I found them for $0.89 at Pottery Barn) tied with a little tulle pack of jordan almonds with our names attached. During the reception, the candles will serve as our centerpieces - and the guests will then get to take them home!
