Ceramic Hearts
Submitted by: J. T. of Bigelow, Arkansas
I recently got into ceramics and I love hearts. I began making ceramic hearts about
2"x2" and then painting them red, our wedding color. I then took
a marker that wrote on any surface and wrote our names and wedding date on each one. We are
giving these out as wedding favors. If your not into ceramics look in a craft store for wooden
hearts (cheap) paint them and put your names and wedding date on them.

Donating to Charity
Submitted by: G. K. of Houston, Texas
I am getting married in March 1998. My fiancé and I are both avid animal lovers.
For our wedding favors we are donating $1 per guest to the Houston SPCA, and
putting a certificate at each place setting explaining that we donated a dollar in that
guest's name to the SPCA. We will put a dog and cat picture at the top, print out the text, and
roll it in a scroll form, and tie it with a blue ribbon (color).

Potpourri-filled Glass Bottles
Submitted by: Renee of Ottawa
I bought small glass bottles from my local dollar store and filled them with potpourri.
I then replaced the cork, tied a bow around the neck with coordinating silk
ribbon and hot glued a dried rose bud in the center of the bow. I had my bridesmaid help me
and we had a great time making them together.

Christmas Ornaments #2
Submitted by: Shelly of Placerville
My fiancéand I are having an "olde English Theme" wedding and although we
really liked the idea of giving away tiny pots of growing English ivy in hand
painted pots - the time and expense were prohibited. Instead, I found Christmas ornaments
on super discount after Christmas. They truly are beautiful! Hand-beaded satin balls and blown
glass icicles for 75% off! I found them in my local card shop in mid-February. We are going to
print out a copy of our wedding blessing as a tag that will be tied to the ornament with gold floss
with our names and the date in fancy script.

Spoonful of Kisses
Submitted by: S. S. of Pendleton, New York
Two of our friends were married 2 years ago. Their favors were very cute! They took a
plastic spoon (color of their wedding) and put two Hershey kisses on the spoon,
wrapped the spoon with tulle and tied it with ribbon. On the card, it said," a spoonful of
love and a couple of kisses, now Ed and Yvonne are Mr. and Mrs."

Paper Fan
Submitted by: C. S. of Virginia Beach, Virginia
My sister had a summer wedding and the ceremony was held outdoors. She had her favorite photograph of
herself and her fiancé made into a paper fan. The fan also included the order of the ceremony
and the names of the bridal party. This was given to the guest as they were seated for the
ceremony. The fan was multipurpose. It was very useful since it was a warm day, it contained the
order of the program and it was a lovely favor.

Scratch off lottery tickets! I was recently married in September and
we put scratch off lottery tickets in small baskets on each table with a little poem attached
with a ribbon stating how lucky we were to find each other and as our gift to our guests, we hope
they were lucky with the ticket. People loved them and we even had a few winners.

Ribbon-tied Small Bells
Submitted by: K. C. of Laurel, Maryland
My sister is getting married and we are not allowed to use rice,
birdseed, bubbles, or anything else like that. What she has done is tied ribbons to small bells,
so that the ribbons can be rung when the bride and groom are departing the reception. The bells
can then be kept as favors.

Photographs
Submitted by: K. F. of San Jose, California
We are having a renaissance-theme reception. For favors we are
setting up an area that looks like a castle (with stone patterned core buff) and placing a sword and
shield there. As the guests come in the photographer (or a photography buff relative) is
going to take their pictures. Our photographer is going to order us cardboard frames with our names
and the wedding date embossed along the bottom. The guests will then receive a photograph of
themselves all dressed up as a memento of our wedding. The cost is about $1.00-2.00 per picture
depending on how fancy you get.

Tulip Bulbs Wrapped in Burlap
Submitted by: Anonymous User
My sister got married at the end of August and her wedding was natural
and "outdoor-sy". She was going to give away little trees but she couldn't get them so she bought
tulip bulbs from a city, (they were really cheap) and put them in little burlap bags tied with
ribbon. Strung with the ribbon was a little card with planting instructions and the couples name
signed.
