Cleaning Poem
Submitted by: Roberta L. of Columbia City
I came up with more for your cleaning poem. I used it for my sister's shower this past weekend and it was a hit.

Carol, we're going to let you in on a little SECRET. Soon you will be marrying _____, a SAUVE and CHARMIN kinda guy and also FANTASIC in bed. *so we hear*

But as you enter the new ERA there will come some RUFF days when you find out _____ is not MR-CLEAN and he will expect you to perform MAGIC in the kitchen and he thinks all woman should WORK. You're going to want to scream and SHOUT. But _____ will always bring you CHEER and you will find him to be your WHITE DOVE.

When you are together you will find JOY so remember your PLEDGE and give him your ALL. Because at night _____ will wake you up at DAWN to SNUGGLE up close, and if you ever need _____or _____ send us an SOS or just DIAL and we will be there.

But you won't need us because it will all work out with a FEBREEZE. _____ and _____ The best of luck and good fortune in the years to come. And may _____ always be your angel.

I just added the Works magic eraser, Ruff "garbage bags", Snuggle fabric softener, Febreeze, and Angel soft toilet paper, and Shout stain remover.

Hope you like this - I had a BALL doing it.

Lingerie Shower Poem #1
Submitted by: Tanya M.
As little girls we all dressed up,
Walked around in mothers stuff.
Lipstick was the brightest red,
With fancy hats upon our heads
Now that we've grown,We wear our own.
In all the softest colors that we know.
But underneath, we wear much more
And that is what this party's for.
So for the little girls who've grown
And want those pretty things for their own
Come join us as we try them on,
And remember that it is all for fun.

Lingerie Shower Poem #2
Submitted by: Karen H.
Here is a poem that I recently made up and put on my girlfriend's lingerie shower invitation. The title is "Lia's Getting Married."

Lia's getting married and I'd like to say;
Come to her shower and bring lingerie.

Fun we will have and laughter we'll make;
For Lia's getting married, for goodness sake.

Please enjoy an evening with our friend;
Come around Six and stay 'till the end.

She's excited and nervous and you ask why?
Lia's in Love and you can't deny!

I then listed the factual information below..date, time, location, etc.

Bridal Shower Verse
Submitted by: Kymbra S. Lier of Hyde Park, New York
Here is the verse I am using on my sister's shower invitation:

Erick and Jodi are tying the knot -
And this bridal shower is gonna be hot!
Gifts sure to make it one hell of a night,
and certain to make Erick squeal with delight!

The rest of the invite has the pertinent when and where info on it!

ABC Wishing Well
Submitted by: Deborah C. of East Brunswick, New Jersey
This is a little attachment to the bridal shower invitation. On a piece of paper with an "alphabet" border, print the following:

Sharon's getting married so it only seems fitting to have an "ABC Wishing Well" for her shower, we aren't kidding.

A letter has been circled so you can tell how we will fill her wishing well.
Please buy a gift that starts with your letter.
Something silly, something sweet or something much better.

"T" could be tongs, toothpicks or tacks;
"S" could be spoons, spices or sacks.
Your imagination is your only limit,
Be clever, be crazy just get into it.

Then come to the shower, to join in the fun -
To honor sweet Sharon. Cheers everyone.

A Poem to Place in a Picture Frame #2
Submitted by: Cheryl Gabiola Galvez, Woodbury, New York
The following is a wonderful aphorism that my husband included in a romantic letter he wrote to me. The following quote is from Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.

Love does not consist in gazing at each other
but in looking together in the same direction.
Saint-Exupéry

Wishing Well Poem: Version #1
Submitted by: Tania T. of Brooklyn, New York
I found the following poem while surfing the web:

Spices, detergents, and gadgets galore,
There are never enough, you can always use more.
If you bring a little item our bride you would please.
Wrap it in tissue paper, and your name do not tell
It's just a little something to wish her well.
or
it's just a little something for her Wishing Well.

Wishing Well Poem: Version #2
Submitted by: Tania T. of Brooklyn, New York
I found another poem while surfing the web:

________ is getting married
so it only seems fitting
to have a Wishing Well for
her shower -— no kidding!
Something silly, something sweet,
or something much better.
Your imagination is your only limit
on what you might get her.
Tongs, or toothpicks, maybe some tacks,
Or spoons, or spices, or decorative sacks!
Be clever, be crazy,
Just get into it, and
Come to the shower to
join in the fun in honor
of _______________
Cheers everyone!

Recipe Card Poem

Enclosed for you is a recipe card.
To fill it in shouldn't be hard.

or whatever it is you like to make.
So don't forget this card on this special date.
Fill it in now, don't hesitate.
At the shower will be a recipe box to fill.
So bring this recipe card, if you will.

Join us for a shower
That will be on the hour.
Listen to your watch tick tock
For the theme is Around the Clock.
To honor the bride and the groom
with gifts to fill up every room.

You are invited to a
couple's bridal shower
honoring Eileen and David.
Bring a gift that they can
use at this time: 8:00 AM

Lingerie Shower Poem #3
Submitted by: Amy M. of Augusta, Georgia
I used the following poem for an invitation to a lingerie shower/bachelorette party:

It is almost time for Jennifer’s wedding day.
There’s only one thing still left in the way.

To steal her away from Jon for a night,
Will be such a challenge, but we’ll put up a fight!

A night in Charleston — we’ll have so much fun
We won’t come back until the excitement is done!

This bachelorette party starts with a lingerie shower,
Then out to eat we will go for all the food we can devour!

What will happen next, no one really knows,
But with this night on the town, almost anything goes!

Bag Full of Gifts
Submitted by: MaryBeth S. of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
This was used on a shower invitation for my sister’s bridal shower. The poem was printed on wedding paper and the paper was then cut with scalloped scissors and pasted to a colored lunch bag folded and addressed on the other side.

A Bridal Shower is being held
For a very special Bride
So please use this handy bag
To tuck an extra gift inside.

It can be a dishcloth for the kitchen,
Cleanser for the sink,
Perhaps soap for the dishes,
Whatever you may think.

They will need items for the bath,
Perhaps some light bulbs too,
Combs, Kleenex, soap
The choice is up to you.

We would also like to ask you
For your favorite recipe,
It’s something Tara will treasure
For a lifetime of cooking you’ll see.

The gifts will come in handy
For both the Bride and Groom
And their cupboards will be stocked
In each and every room.
The information follows
It’s a very special date.
We hope that you can join us
It’s time to celebrate!

Lingerie Shower
Submitted by: Tesa of San Antonio, Texas
Here is what I used on my sister-in-law's invitation to her lingerie shower:

Flannel pajamas are ______'s night-time attire;
She needs a few things to help light the fire!
A lingerie shower will start her off right,
So let's outfit her for the honeymoon night!

Unique Shower Poem
Submitted by: Liz of Battle Creek
This is a poem for my best friends bridal shower, who is a bit less traditional then most, invitations. I took pieces from others to make it more suiting to her presonality.

Spices, detergents, and gadgets galore,
There always around and can be such a bore.
So lets make a wish for the future for Jada
One that’s exciting, and not quite verbatim.
Just fill in your wish on the card enclosed and
Bring a little something to help get it on a roll

She’s sure to appreciate your wishes
As well as you’re helping to make them come true

These Things I'll Miss
Submitted by: Soraya of Miami, Florida, USA
I wrote this poem for my daughter the day she was engaged. I plan on reading it to her at her bridal shower:

These Things I'll Miss

I'll miss your silliness and your playful ways,
your jokes, your tricks and your innocent gaze.
I'll miss your worry and I'll miss your fears,
I'll miss your laughter and I'll miss your tears.

I'll miss your beautiful scent of perfume
that in your absence lingers in your sweet little room.
I'll miss the touch of your softened skin,
a touch that I will always cherish within.

I'll miss my cute and cuddly little girl,
who has now blossomed into a brand new world;
a world of joy, a world of love
a world of blessings from up above.

I'll miss the way you trusted me
that best of friends we would always be.
Now someone new may take that place
but the memories of my baby, he can never erase.

But the things I know that I'll mostly miss
is your golden heart and your tender kiss.
Your "Hi Mommy, how are you" and your "I love you"
Your "Good Night Mommy" and your "God Bless You."

So the day this Prince comes and takes you away
please remember that anytime, night or day,
you will always be able to count on me
and my little Krystle you will always be.

Cupid's Work is Nearly Done
Submitted by: Jodi R. of Locust Grove, Georgia, USA
This is the poem that I used on the front of the invitations for my sister-in-law's Bridal Shower:

Cupid's work is nearly done,
Soon Kim and Jason will be 'One',
But before that Golden Hour,
We're honoring Kim with a Bridal Shower!

Bridal Shower Poem
Submitted by: Sina W. of Danville, Illinois, USA
This is the invitation passed out to the ladies of our church to my bridal shower 15 years ago this April. I plan to use it for a bridal shower given to the bride to be of the young man that was the ring bearer in my wedding.

A girl named Sina decided on this
The time was right for wedded bliss.
J.R. her choice, a lucky guy
said, "Oh, I'm glad she chose I."
Her friends, so many, wanted to be
a part of the joy there was to see.
"Let's have a party!" said Marge to Lynnette
and all of their friends agreed to that.
April 8 will be the date,
at 7 sharp, so don't be late!
We'll shower some gifts on the bride & groom
at the Nazarene church annex if there's room
The more the merrier is what they say,
so don't miss out on Sina's special day!!

Poem for Lingerie-theme Bridal Shower
Submitted by: Nannette B. of Newberry, South Carolina, USA
I am having a lingerie shower for a good friend of mine and made the following invitations on my computer. The front of the invitation read: On Lori's wedding day she'll be wearing something old and something new, something borrowed and something blue, but on her wedding night... (inside of invitation) It might be something lacy or it could be something racy, it will definitely be new and it might just be from you!!! Followed by who hosted the party, date, time, RSVP, etc.

Wishing well for Chef ____ (groom)

Bridal Shower Poem for a Friend
Submitted by: Alison of Clearwater, Florida, USA
This is the copy I used in my best friend's shower invitation. It was a Room By Room theme.

Once upon a time (Bride's Name) took her first step.
Stumbling and excited her parents held her hands and
helped her walk room by room.
Now as she takes the next step of her life...
let's join her in taking the
walk to her special day... Room By Room...
Before you know it she'll be step by step down the aisle.

Bridal Shower Invite for a Friend
Submitted by: Carol of Sewaren, New Jersey, USA
I took a few lines from other poems that I read and added some lines of my own.

There's a girl named Amanda and her favorite beau, Kris
Who have decided to enter into marital bliss.
Let's throw a big party,
Said Carol to Kim.
Then, Kim called up Patti and they all chipped in.
We'd love to see you there,
August 25th is the date.
It's at 2 o'clock sharp, so please don't be late!
We'll be showering gifts on the future bride and groom,
The place to be you ask?
The Hunka Bunka Ballroom.
The more the merrier is what we say,
So, please don't miss the fun on Amanda's special day!

Unique Poem Invite
Submitted by: Clee of Ontario
I used parts of poems to put this together. Inside the invitations, I put a pinch of confetti and 2 Hershey's® Kisses along with this poem:

A sprinkle of confetti and a couple of kisses
Soon (bride's name) and (groom's name) will be MR & MRS
But as we wait for that special hour
Let's honor (bride's name) with a surprise Bridal Shower!

At the bottom of the page, I added fill-in-the-blank lines for When, Where, and Time and to R.S.V.P.

Garden of Delight
Submitted by: Melissa of St. Thomas, Ontario, Canada
My sister is getting married, and I am the maid of honour. She had three showers planned previously to the one I was throwing, so she had already received TONS of usualy shower gift items. I decided to do something different. She just bought a house, so I decided to throw her a 'Garden of Delight' shower. Everyone was to bring an item related to gardening or outdoor entertaining. I enclosed the following poem in the shower invitations:

‘Garden of Delight’

Try and try with all your might,
Think of a gift for the Garden of Delight.
They’ve purchased a home; the yard needs a lift,
Please keep this in mind when selecting your gift.
Below are some ideas, just for a start
Be creative, have fun…choose a gift from your heart.
(Indoor/outdoor plants, seeds, garden tools, gloves, watering can, bird bath, stepping stones, lanterns, lawn/patio furniture, patio lights, garden centre gift certificate.)
