Sing a Song of Love
Submitted by: Tania M.
If the guest wish the bride & groom to kiss, he or she must stand up in front of the crowd and sing a song that contains the word "love" in its lyrics. Here is a poem that was placed on each of my reception tables:

The bride and groom are newlyweds
And we think that it has gone to their heads.
So, if you clank the glasses so,
We know their heads will only grow.
So, instead we ask for one little thing,
We request that you only sing.
A line with the word Love in it.
And this will make the couple kiss.

A Poem to the Mother of the Groom
Submitted by: Nathalie B. of Saint-John, New Brunswick, Canada
Here's a nice little poem you could read to his mother.

Our Mother
Author Unknown

You are the mother I received
The day I wed your son.
And I just want to thank you, Mom
For all the things you've done.

You've given me a gracious man
With whom I share my life.
You are his loving mother and
I his lucky wife.

You used to pat his little head,
And now I hold his hand.
You raised in love a little boy
And gave to me a man.

A Poem to the Mother of the Bride

Now, here's one he could read to the bride's mother.

Our Mother
Author Unknown

You are the Mother I received
the day I wed my wife.
And I just want to thank you, Mom
for bringing her to life.

You raised and loved your little one
with guiding hands and praise,
She's now the beauty of my life
in many cherished ways.

You have given me a special friend
who's always by my side,
I know you were as proud as I
the day she was my bride.

A Poem for Your Wedding Guests
Submitted by: Kathryn of Willcox, Arizona
Your presence here
has blessed our day
And touched our lives
in a special way.

A day so grand
would not have been
Without the love
of our friends and kin.

So our hearts extend
a thanks to you
For the love you show
in all you do.

A Poem for Tulips
Submitted by: Tina of Stanbridge East, Que, Canada
I am giving tulip bulbs as favours for our October wedding
and this is a little poem I wrote to accompany them.

Please plant them in your flower's bed and with the sun above,
They will return each passing year as a reminder of our love.

Poem for Disposable Cameras
Submitted by: Maria of North Plainfield
To: Guests at Tables __________ and __________

With this camera you can have some fun.
And we’ll have pictures of everyone!!
Pass the camera around, and let everyone snap.
Get those having fun or taking a nap!!!!
(We hope not, but it rhymes.)

Tables __________ and __________ this camera will share.
Make sure you take pictures of everyone there.
At the end of the night, when all is done,
We’ll collect the cameras from everyone.

ENJOY!!!

Poem for Disposable Cameras - #2
Submitted by: Cheryl of Warrington, Pennsylvania, USA
A camera placed upon each table,
So every guest will be able,
To take pictures so we can see,
All our friends and family.
Now pick it up and snap away,
To celebrate this special day.
And when you’re through, all photos shot.
Just leave it here, and THANKS A LOT!
