Sites of the town
Submitted by: Bliss!
Many of our wedding guests were arriving a bit early, so I
constructed a newsletter that highlighted the
must-see sites in Houston. It allowed them to
sightsee on their own in case we were too busy
getting things coordinated.

Your Local Chamber Of Commerce
Submitted by: Jennifer of Texas
I had guests coming to my wedding from many out-of-state
places and wanted to tell them about the town
the wedding would be held in. My local Chamber of
Commerce mailed out packets about the town free of
charge as long as I provided the mailing labels!
Guests could learn about the town and make note of the
activities they liked to do when they arrived.

Reception Maps on Back of Program
Submitted by: Lindy of Kane, Pennsylvania
To save paper and still ensure that our guests made it to the
reception without getting lost, we printed the map to the reception on the
back of the wedding programs. Everyone left with a customized map and arrived on
time despite the complicated directions!

Itineraries for Guests
Submitted by: Stacy of Chicago, Illinois, USA
Wedding Itinerary - If your wedding activities will run over a course
of a few days (i.e. bridal luncheon, bachelor party, rehearsal dinner,
ceremony, reception, gift-opening), type up an itinerary of dates, times,
& places with phone numbers for all those invited to not just the ceremony
and reception. This puts the responsibility on those to know where to be
and when and leaves the happy couple knowing all have the correct
information.

Create a Web Site
Submitted by: Elona C. of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
Create a web site to help disperse information about your wedding. Include a section on hotels,
dining in the area, local attractions and, of course, driving directions to
the ceremony and reception. For fun, you can also add information about
yourselves, where you are going for the honeymoon, and who is in the
wedding party. Just be careful and don't assume that all of your guests
will access the information there. Be prepared to give directions and
important information through other means.
